How to Win Prizes Writing Kids Book Reviews!

Following these simple book review guidelines can really pay off!

Here's what you need to do to be eligible to win a prize for a great book review:

  1. Choose a book you have read all the way through.

  2. Write the title, author of the book and your age.
    Remember: Don't tell your real name! This is a chance to make up a cool nickname.

  3. Answer the following questions:

    • Genre (what kind of book is it?): Fantasy, Mystery, Historical Fiction, Science Fiction, Non-fiction, other...
    • This book is about:
    • I liked:
    • I didn't like:
    • My favorite character is:
    • Why?
    • I would recommend this book for kids ages:

  4. Your book review must be at least 400 words. It sounds like a lot, but it's really only about 3 paragraphs. If you've done steps 1, 2 and 3 above, then it should be easy.
