Michael Vey: The Prisoner of Cell 25
by Elsie Jo
(Age 14)
Michael Vey looks and acts like just another ordinary kid, from an ordinary home, wearing ordinary clothes. And the truth is, Michael is all those things. Except for one thing... Michael is electric. He’s like a big, human battery. It’s a secret that no one can know. No one but his mother (of course, I mean how can you hide something like that from your mother?) and his best friend, Ostin, know. But suddenly things go terribly awry when strangers show up, and his secret is out.
My favorite character in this book is probably Taylor. She’s a pretty, popular cheerleader who catches Michael when he accidentally shocks someone and she discovers the truth. But Taylor’s got her own secret, and soon becomes a friend. I like her because she’s fun and happy and nice to everyone.
This book is a new release and I strongly encourage you readers to read it. It’s a good story, quickly developing and one of those that you have trouble putting down. Just when you think you’ve kind of got the gist of what’s going to happen, it throws you another surprising twist. I loved it, personally and I think that all you readers will too!! Best part though, is that there’s going to be a sequel!
